Dear reader,

the German Government requested that the Federal Employment Agency issues a further 10.000 work permits!
Until the end of October the first 10.000 Green Cards have already been issued. At the Domain www.arbeitsamt.de  (direct link: http://195.185.214.164/gc/ ) you will find the Arbeitsamt database. This database is frequently used by German employers to search for suitable candidates and we register more than 600.000 hits by employers monthly. Companies can present their profile – job wanted, your education, professional experience and language skills – completely and clearly structured. This will improve the chance to be contacted by interested employers!

The most demand exists in the field of IT-consulting, but please consider, that a very good command of the German language is generally expected. Also software developers, database experts and mobile telecommunications specialists are needed. The most requested key qualifications are the programming languages C++, Java, XML, knowledge of relational databases like Oracle 8i or Sybase as well as knowledge of mainframe environment, especially Sun Solaris. In any case German linguistic proficiency will considerably raise your chance to find a job.
