Dear German People
Recently, a great tragedy has befallen our nation.
Everyone in our country has been affected in some way
by this act of coward-ness. This tragedy has caused
all of us great pain which can be seen on the
television. However, I personally feel comforted
knowing how close everyone in America has become.
Together we will help each other deal with the pain,
and began the plan for retaliation.
But, in addition; what has given myself and my fellow
countrymen the most comfort is the show of support
that we all have seen, from our friends in Europe and
in other parts of the world. I personally was
overcome with a feeling of universal brotherhood, by
the show of compassion that I saw from the people of
Germany.
My ancestors all came from Germany in the middle
1800's. The small town where I grew up still has
great pride in our German decent. Words cannot begin
to describe the feeling of comfort that I and many
other Americans are feeling, knowing our German
brothers and sisters are so supportive in our hour of
need.
I am but one person in America, but I think I speak
for millions of America's when I say: Thank you and
May God be with you.
